It’s a tight turn to get in and out of the underground parking area. In addition, the first time I tried to exit, I missed the fact that I needed to pull the red cord to open the garage door at the top of the ramp.
It was quite nice, however, to have private parking, with elevator access to the room floor.

If you need to catch up on work or simply unwind, you’ll find a desk in your room for your convenience. In case additional sleeping arrangements are needed, extra beds and rollaway beds are available. You’ll also have blackout drapes to ensure a good night’s rest.
Your room’s bathroom is complete with essential amenities such as towels, shampoo, soap, and a hair dryer. You can enjoy a refreshing shower with a rainfall showerhead and free toiletries.
For entertainment, your room features a 43-inch smart TV, offering a variety of satellite channels. The flat-screen TV is also compatible with popular streaming services such as Netflix so that you can relax and enjoy movies or shows during your stay.

I was pleasantly surprised to also find an oscillating fan in my room, as I had not yet discovered Venty (my constant travel companion).

If you require the use of a crib for your little one, don’t hesitate to request one for your room. Bed sheets are also provided for your convenience.

At HAIMHAUSERS Hotel Garni, every morning is made special with complimentary breakfast, served in the light and bright breakfast room. It’s a delightful spread designed to kickstart your day on a delicious note. Using local, high-quality ingredients, they serve a variety of hearty and nutritious options that cater to diverse taste buds.
From freshly baked pastries and bread to a selection of cheeses, cold cuts, and cereals, there’s something for everyone. Fresh fruits, juices, and an assortment of hot beverages ensure you get a refreshing and energizing start.
Not to forget, they also cater to special dietary needs and preferences on request.
While the breakfast buffet had been suspended during my stay, I was still served a hearty breakfast that did not disappoint. I did not go hungry!

You can easily visit historical sites like the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, learning about its dark past and paying tribute to the lives affected.
If you’re interested in more contemporary history, head to the Olympic Park, a popular destination that showcased the 1972 Summer Olympics. Near the park, you’ll find the iconic Olympic Stadium and the Allianz Arena, which hosts countless football matches and events throughout the year.
The nearest airport, Munich Airport (MUC), situated just a 20-minute drive away, offers convenient access to the hotel and its surroundings.
In terms of food options, the town of Haimhausen has various restaurants that cater to different tastes. I chose, instead, to make the 10-minute drive to nearby Unterschleissheim, which is a little bigger than Haimhausen.
In Unterschleissheim, I found a fantastic grocery store: REWE. It’s a grocery chain, but this location is fantastic!
I also found Time 2 Taste, which provided a delicious and healthy dinner, after a long day of airport and airplane food.
Although public transportation is available, I would highly recommend having a rental car when staying out in this area.
The main reason I traveled to Munich was to visit Oberammergau. From the hotel, it took approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes, to get to Ettal, and then on to Oberammergau.
