Overview
We had a reservation to stay somewhere else, but for a variety of reasons, we cancelled it at the last minute. I’ve never (like never ever) made a reservation for lodging the day of, but that was the situation we found ourselves in on this day. Lodging is not inexpensive in Arizona in February, but Drury came through with a reasonable rate & a more than adequate experience.
At the time of our stay, Drury Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler Fashion Center had been open just one year. The property did feel fresh and new, which was really nice. There is a pool on-site, which we did not utilize during our stay.
Check-In = Our room was ready upon arrival, but there was trouble with the keying system. The staff was very apologetic and had a plan to let us into our room a different way. But, at the last moment, the keying system was fixed, and we were handed our room keys.
Parking is free and plentiful at Drury Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler Fashion Center.
Breakfast is included at this hotel. The breakfast area is quite large, and there was an amazing amount of options.
Location
The Drury Inn & Suites Phoenix Chandler Fashion Center is located in the I-10/101/202 corridor. Specifically, it is immediately south of the 202 and east of Price Rd. in Chandler. It’s just over a mile away from the Chandler Fashion Center. It was very convenient for the activities we had planned in the Chandler area.
Our Room
Our room was just what we needed for the night. It was quiet, comfortable, clean, and the shower had good water pressure!
Clientele
We saw mostly couples and larger families of all ages. There were some high school club teams from out-of-state visiting for a tournament. Nearby are office buildings, so this would be a good hotel for the business traveler as well.
My Favorite Part
Besides the room that met our needs, the breakfast was amazing. There were several hot dishes, make-your-own waffles, cold cereals, pastry items, toaster items, yogurt, juices, and coffee, to name a few things. My favorite was the oatmeal, with brown sugar and crunchy granola. Yum!
My Least Favorite Part
We really didn’t have any issues during our stay. Yay!
