When COVID-19 arrived on the scene, and our planned trip to Europe had to be cancelled, there were no other prospects on the horizon. Some friends, however, had just completed a long road trip throughout the western U.S. Their travels included several days on Whidbey Island.

I proposed a road trip to my husband. It had to be somewhere with water, but not a sand and surf beach trip, and fairly relaxing. Enter Goss Lake on Whidbey Island in Washington State.
